Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Roseburg Youth Football! It is because of our volunteers that we are able to have such an amazing program for our youth athletes. Please complete the required information below so our board can review your application. Coach and manager applications will be accepted through July 15th to ensure there is enough time to assign personnel to teams, get the required background check and certifications completed, and schedule necessary meetings and training to prepare for the season.
Head Coach: Responsible for the overall management of the team including assistant coaches, practice coaches, athletes, and team families. Develops practice and game plans.
Assistant Coach: Assists the head coach during practices and games. May be responsible for a specific portion of practices or games (offense, defense, lineman, etc) as head coach determines.
Practice Coach: Participates in practice activities but is not on the sidelines during games.
Team Manager: Manages the team book, conducts weigh ins/check ins before each game, manages MPRs during game, helps head coach with other tasks as determined between manager and coach.
Anyone who interacts with athletes must successfully pass the AAU background check.
Coaches are required to complete USA Football Heads Up Concussion Training and participate in our coaching clinic in July (date TBD). We will also host a summer camp with the RHS football team staff and encourage all coaches to participate.
Team managers will receive training before the season begins.
